This textile brooch has been made from buttons sourced from an old button box. In years gone by everyone would have had a box, jar or tin in which to keep spare buttons or buttons cut from discarded clothing. They tended to be full of a mixture of buttons in ones and twos.

These buttons now have a new lease of life, they have been added with some lace to some old woolen fabric and make a pretty pink collage.

The brooch measures approximately 4 cms x 4.5 cms.
