I started experimenting with papier mache before Christmas and since then my table has been covered in cardboard, glue and bits of torn paper. I love houses and architecture as can be seen by some of my silver jewellery.

My cottages are made from cereal boxes, cut out and stuck together with masking tape. I then stick layers of paper which is allowed to dry before the final layer. I have been experimenting to find out how different effects look. The cottage on the left has been covered in some lovely papers bought in Venice, with a piece of furnishing fabric used on the roof.

For the house on the right I decided to leave it with the newspaper but searched through the papers for words and pictures I liked.
Once decorated the houses were vanished.
I then decided to try my hand at furniture. The first piece I made was a table with some small things on top which can be moved. It is an ornament you can rearranged.

Here is the table without the pieces on top.

I am now experimenting with other pieces of furniture and also with jewellery.
I really enjoyed making the house seen on my home page and here are some more pictures of it.
